Usually the threat of getting a lawyer involved will get things rolling. As for extending warranties in general, most on these forums will advise against them, as I always have. Just as soon start my own, with the money savings and for taking care of my own problems, should they arise.
Mostly they don't, otherwise these companies wouldn't be able to stay in business, with you betting against them and as most know, the house usually wins.
