How did the engine blow? About the only way to kill a V10 is let it run out of oil. And if that was the case, I'm sure the warranty company will deny coverage. And the really sad part about extended warranties, is they almost always have a clause to not cover consequential damage. For example, if the oil got low because the oil filter leaked, or the drain plug leaked, or a hose melted or blew... probably not covered. And if they don't follow the warranty company's service intervals exactly (and most of them are ridiculous compared to factory specs) they also have grounds to deny coverage.
