Well I like playing it safe, besides its best to never run at or near max for long term, I feel as experience with the same motor/trans as in this thread that 27,500 lbs should be max for this motor, this way there is some room for the motor not over working in the mountains and blowing a piston or head gasket, yes many have gone many miles at max load but they are riding on borrowed time for that weak link to blow..
And a 40ft motorhome with slideouts on a gas chassis is just wrong in my book...
