I see you are leaving from Mass. I make the trip from Ct to Fla every year either in the MH or car and usually make it to NC or SC. Temps there are usually much warmer than Mass or Ct. I only use the heater in the morning never all night just use blankets and a comforter while sleeping. 15 to 20 mins in the morning to take the chill out of the MH will not run your batteries down. Also when you stop your "gas hog" engine will retain a lot of heat and take a while to cool down warming the MH.
