Do you have a auto run system on your genset ( quiet one preferred). If running the generator isn't an issue at night you can set the auto run feature for battery drain. It'll start when tthe battery gets to a preset drain amount and run until it reaches the set charge state.
Or more batteries, 6 deep cell volt are probably the best.
