Borg Dually Valve Kit

I recently took my 2018 ERA to a local tire dealer that is part of a national chain. I asked if they were familiar with installing Borg Duallyvalve kit and Bal Beads I was told they were.

I soon found out that they were not familiar with installing them even though they came with complete directions The rear inner wheels have to have the stems formed to be centered in outer wheels so that rubber support gromet would fit and tpms sensors would not touch wheels. They also refused to supplied Locktite and torque valve stems to proper inch pounds. Along with CBEX5 Balancing Beads comes filtered valve core and new stem caps. Upon leaving shop noticed that two of the tires did not have the proper caps. As it turned out they threw them in the garbage caps and filter valve stems along with one bag of Balancing beads. Bottom line is that i have no idea what else they did wrong and feel this is not safe.

Has anyone had these install in Northern California Sacramento- Roseville area that they could recommend.
  • I had mine done at our local Les Schwab in Jan 2014, they knew what they were doing. Dick

Call these people. I believe they will know what you need. If they are too far from you ask them who they would recommend. I don't know if they are still in business I used them once and they sent a tire service truck to Auburn to repair a blown inside dual for me. Good Luck. I would if I were you find a Truck Tire Dealer in your area.

One of our OP's lives in Roseville and had tire work including Custom Valves done at America's Tire. I sent him a text asking if he can help.

I bought my Borg Valves in Anchorage and brought them home to FL in luggage. Had the valves installed by the auto center at the local Navy base. We read the instructions together, and the shop installed the valves accordingly. They also spin balanced the tires using adhesive "tape weights" so I can't comment on balance beads.

This ain't rocket science, but it requires "common" sense and following directions.

You can also call BORG. I bent a valve and called for help. I was transferred to Bill Falkenborg in person, and he air expressed a replacement valve. Arrived in FL from CA next day.

I'll see if I can help you find help.
