- lakings10ExplorerHe should easily get 35% off msrp on a 14. Why shouldn't he when you can get a 15 for around the same? All Im saying is he needs to shop around because there are a bunch of 14 DP's still on the lots and also the dealer is very far away from him.
When I bought my POS 14 Palazzo, it was brand new right off the line and I got 33% off msrp. - EffyExplorer III'd have to disagree with some of these posts. It's still a new MH, despite it's a 2014. The dealer still paid the same, maybe more since he's paid overhead on it. The "35-40% or I'd walk" scenario leads to one conclusion, you without the MH. It still has all the warranties and it's still new. We're only 1 month into 2015. The illusion is there because the 2016's will be coming out in the early part of 2015 (which I never did understand) It seems like it's older. It's still only a 1 yr old MH. Remove the year, or pretend you didn't know the year, what difference does it make? Not like it's been sitting for 4-5 years. Some of you are saying it's worth 50%. Where is that figure pulled from? How many years do you own your MH before you see 50% under normal use. It's not 2 years I assure you and that would be used. Get real guys. You all act like because it's a 2014 model it's ready for the scrap heap and should be given away. This is the same thinking that deteriorates the value on all your own MH's. While I agree it should be cheaper than a 2015, some of you are being a little unrealistic. As proven by the dealer declining the offer.
- derouen6ExplorerI was ready with my credit card to make a deposit ( is $5000 the norm?).
Guess they get more people than I thought ready to drive over 3000 miles round trip to buy a MH sight unseen. - outofplaceExplorerAgreed walk away 35-40% off would be more than fair.
- lakings10ExplorerThen id walk and find another dealer.
- derouen6ExplorerCharlie D, the dealership is over 1600 miles from Louisiana.
Offered 40% off MSRP. They did not laugh at me but pretty much insinuated I was nuts.
I have not countered and neither have they. - BobRExplorerMy vote is for 40% off real MSRP. Having said that, they probably won't accept that and I would just walk away. Remember, the minute you drive off the lot it is a two year old unit and has depreciated accordingly.
- lakings10Explorer29% is not good at all for a unit almost 2 years old. I bought my new 2015 at 35% off msrp without even really even haggling......
- Charlie_D_ExplorerExcursion makes me believe you are dealing with Dixie in Hammond. I have found they have inflated pricing and don't trust their MSRP. May not be factory MSRP. You are also dealing with probably what is the worst service department in the RV business and shady salespersons. They blame Camping World and Camping World. Camping World blames them.

Less 50% would be about right, and would buy it in all likelihood.
In about 45 days this DP will be 2 year models old. It was manufactured in 7/2013.
What % off should I offer?
No trade, cash deal.
Thanks for the advice.
