Branson Trip

I am planning a trip with a friend to Branson Mo. leaving Milford Ct on 9/14/13 and returning home on the 26th. He has a 36 ft Phaeton I have a 33 ft GBM. Was looking for an interesting route there and back and places to stop along the way. He and wife (mostly wife)usually camps in FHU site I prefer NF,Coe,State Parks especially when traveling. Looking for other things to see around Branson besides the shows. He still works but I am retired so can spend time on the returning home. Was thinking about Mammoth Caves on the way back. Was thinking about Rt 34 to 84,81,68,79,64,44 to Branson. Any suggestions on route, things to see along route and in Branson area would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for the suggestions. On the return trip I was thinking of Mammoth Caves in Ky. and also noticed Land between the lakes on the map has anyone been to these areas?

    We always use Compton Ridge when in Branson. Lots of shady sites that makes you feel like you are in a state park but with FHU, 60 channels of cable and wifi. A lot to see in do in the Branson area beside shows. JMHO

    We try to make an annual trip to Branson. We have always stayed at Musicland campground. It is located right behind the Titantic. It allows us to walk along the strip. We have stayed their with out class C, our 5th wheel and will make a trip this year with the class A.
