13/7 highway is a great 4 lane, from Springfield to I-49. There's some work being done, north of Springfield but nothing to really slow you down.
You'll have more of a chance, of traffic problems on NB I-435 at MO 210. Get in the center lane of I-435 northbound at Front Street and you'll be good. The rest is smooth sailing.

When I go north from KC I bypass it and then onto whatever the interstate number, maybe 25, is and get off at Nebraska City and take a 4 lane, 2 maybe, bypassing Lincoln to I80. Buy your fuel in MO, after that the fuel price goes up in Iowa then drops somewhat in Neb. That has worked for me about 15 trips west and east.
