Broken Drawer sliders DRIVING ME CRAZY !

My drawers in the kitchen and bedroom slide on metal in and out.
They connect to the wall using a piece of plastic.

This plastic part breaks every 6 months or so and the drawers are all cockeyed. I have replaced these &*%$ things for 10 yrs and I am sick of it.

HELP ME, what can I use to stop this problem ?

Don't tell me to replace the cabinets, not in the budget.

Thanks
  • I have got them in my store. Lowes.com 18 inch full extension slides, both pieces are metal approx. 15.00
  • Look at replacing the hardware, drawer slides, from Home Depot or other hardware, big box store.
Ours came with hardware like this and in 7 years, no problems.

  • You can replace the slides on the drawers with better quality ones.

where did you get the metal ones ?
I went to Home Depot and they did not have them
  • yes, my thought exactly, get metal ones. they come in metal also, sold metal often at my store
  • You can buy the plastic pieces in metal and then screw then down securely.
