I have "finger" bulges on the sidewall of both of my Michelin XZE* 12R 22.5" steer-tires that were put on my coach in April 2, 2014 with 5K miles on them. Michelin replaced them today and I just noticed "finger" bulges on these too, with less than 100 miles on them. Has anyone had this problem? Could it be an installation issue or a rim issue? The same dealer installed both sets of tires. TIALarry

Sorry to hear this for you. Just another reason I will never own a Michelin tire. IMHO their are less $$$ tires that are better. Seems some get cought up on this forum about the rebate thing and if it dosent say rv on it it's nfg.

I replaced the Michelins with Hankook on our 96 Southwind.No regrets.I've never been impressed by Michelin. JMOI hope you find the cause for the finger bulges. Please, keep us updated.

Hmm...if they felt they needed to be replaced the first time I would be worried if the new ones look the same way. I think I would ask for a Michelin rep to come out and inspect them....

I've owned Michelins for 4 million miles and had 1 blowout, my fault, and a few nails and screws but no complaints.

Sorry to hear this for you. Just another reason I will never own a Michelin tire. IMHO their are less $$$ tires that are better. Seems some get cought up on this forum about the rebate thing and if it dosent say rv on it it's nfg.

I've owned Michelins for 4 million miles and had 1 blowout, my fault, and a few nails and screws but no complaints.

Please look and see where the Michelins were made and get back to us please.
While Michelin has made tires in CHina it has never been for the US market. Could these be either the start of China imports or maybe someone is bringing in Grey market Michelin tires.
Look on he tire for country of manufacture PLEASE

All six M's changed out at 12K miles because of cracking. 12% wear and all even. We got a settlement from M of $1800 and kicked in another $450 for six brand new Continentals. Got 47K on unit now with no tire issues .

My opinion, Michelin is better for car/truck tires, Hankook best for RV. I have not heard of this problem OP.

Must be blessed as we put about 80,000 on our first set of Michelin tires.
