Depends on the bunk. Most of the electric cab over bunk designs are on rails and the bunk comes to rest on the front seats rendering them useless. A feature I did not want. In our ACE the bunk articulates and comes to rest about 6" higher than the front seats making both continually useable. Also there is the ladder and storage issue. The ACE didn't have a ladder, instead "steps" are built in - step on the dinette seat, step on a built in step/platform at the framework for the dinette. Works great and if you didn't know you'd never guess that's what it's for. looks like it's just part of the dinette. As far as actually sleeping on it, pretty much for kids. It will fit adults but it's a pretty confined space.
