Mile High - Trailer tires are subjected to stresses and wear that motorhomes never see, all the while being less massive than their big brothers. The tires a motorhome with 22.5" wheels rotate approx. 500 revs/mile while some trailer tires rotate 2.5 times that. This means 1250 revs/mile. Additionally, on a three axle trailer, every turn, even changing lanes, scrubs off rubber through sideways motion. They are built to take the load, but no material could long withstand the extra abuse suffered by trailer tires.
