Lots of price differences from state to state. Diesel in Alabama runs anywhere from 30 to 50 cents cheaper a gallon than in the Volunteer State, but it is biodiesel ranging from B5 to B20. Biodiesel has good and bad points, one bad point is that the biodiesel is a mild solvent, and can loosen any crud in the tank and the lines and clog your fuel filters. Carry a spare filter, or two.
Not all diesel in Al. is bio. I filled up just south of Tuscumbia last week with 100% dino. fuel at a good price. - ct1964upsExplorerwallynm

- GjacExplorer IIII always stop in Port Jervis NJ to get gas before returning home to Ct.
- wallynmExplorerCurious but what is the tax between the two states.
Tax by state
Looks like maybe $0.30 per gallon higher.
War story - we used to travel up and down the east coast and just north of the Florida line was station that always had some of the best prices around. After we got home I noticed an internet article that stated they they got busted for delivering less fuel than the pump registered by about 10%.pigfarmer wrote:
