I think it's a good idea, but I suspect with the build issues on RVs that it would be a very risky business...
You've had trailers, so you know the ins and outs of the house. Get a good mechanic to check the chassis/engine side of things and you should be good. If something in the house were a bad sign if it were in a trailer, then it's a bad sign in a motorhome.
