This is were all states are different. In Ct. I can't get a temp plate without the original tittle and for me the tittle is in Florida. So when I get to Florida I will get them down there. Also in ct the plates are yours no matter if they are run of the mill plates or vanity. You either transfer them to new vechile or turn them in. If you sell your vechile and do not turn plates in or transfer you pay taxes on the vechile that you dont even own.
