JaL, mmmmmm, I don't think my ego has much to do with it. It is the fact that there was zero disclosure of this fee before I placed my deposit. I don't know if this was intentional or simple human error. The salesman must be new(I know way more about RV's than he does), so if he made a mistake I'm ok with it. But, I was not given the chance to negotiate it and that is where I have a problem.
So it's a combination of the integrity issue and a negotiation issue. What I have done is told them that this "deal" is dead and that I am happy to re-negotiate.
I agree on the inspection and it is scheduled for Sunday. I would consider my buddy a professional...he is a great mechanic.
In the mean time I have found another Flair 22' at a dealer closer to me(a days drive away). 55K miles, 70 hrs on the genny, newer tires, excellent interior(almost as nice as the AZ coach). The exterior does not look as nice and I really think the AZ coach has been re-painted since I have never seen one so white. This '96 Flair is the traditional "off white". Anyway, the '96 is 1K cheaper making it well under NADA and $4K higher in loan value then the '94 one.
