Bypass Phoenix from Flagstaff to Palm Springs

Heading to Palm Springs on 10 coming from Flagstaff on 17. Wondering best way to avoid worst traffic.
  • Taking the 303 there will be only one stoplight at the 60 intersection.
The lane restriction is at the junction of the 303 and I-10, should not pose a problem, just keep to the right.
  • According to az511.gov the 303 has construction/lane restrictions thru Dec. 12th.

X-2, I've taken this route before!
  • I would bypass Phoenix completely by going to Kingman then to Palm Springs.
  • If you take Bell Road W from Surprise (off of 60) that becomes another bypass that actually allows you to not only bypass Phoenix but all the other******on 10 through Goodyear. It joins the 10 W. of 87. It's a great road and I use it all the time.
  • Does the 303 bypass involve any traffic lights, or is it all freeway? I was trying to look it up on google earth, but could not find the answer.

I know that 101 bypass is all freeway, and at least 2 lanes wide, but the 303 was not completed when I lived there back in 2008.
