Overdrive that is the same way I feel with our 2003 dakota. It's still a nice vehicle, but it's old enough that we don't worry taking it out exploring or running around the bumpy/muddy/whatever forest roads we might be on, and hauling bicycles, grills and other gear in the bed. Plus, I would have hated to do all the drilling and modifying I had to do for the base plate, electrical and brake system required for towing on a nice new vehicle.
I should have mentioned too that for a dakota you will need the 4x4 with the neutral capable transfer case. Makes for very easy 4 down towing.
