Cab over Entertainment Center

I am a new member to the site. I was a member back when we started Rving, but who knows what the email,log in etc... Anyway I have searched the site and cannot find what I am looking for.

I see a lot of threads for removing the entertainment center, but I want to add an entertainment center and remove the cab over bed. We have just retired and our son is grown. In January we plan to full time for at least a year to see if we like it. Anyway, I am somewhat of a handyman and can fix most things. I am a novice at wood working though and was hoping I could find a place that sells these but I have had know luck.

Has anyone built their own? Was there a kit? I have the 55" tv I am going to mount but would like to finish it off with cabinets etc...

Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you for the replies. We have a 2006 Forest River Sunseeker 31" with the couch and dinette slide out.

    who made your RV? when a person I met at a campground wanted to do the same, since I was going to Winnebago for a plant visit and he had a winnie, I picked him up a complete set of parts, etc. for doing so and mailed them to him. if the mfr. offers both bunk and ECs they should be able to do the same.

    I did it a few months ago. Worked out well. This site is a pain in the butt for posting pictures, so pm me if you wish and I will try to send you a picture, maybe email? I just realized the link above is of my project. Too funny I guess I used to know how to post pictures.

    First off,
    1. I already have an overhead entertainment center and we love it.
    2. I could not, or would not attempt what you are planning, but that's only due to my lack of ability & lack of patience.
    3. I do believe a 55" is way to big though , our built in is a 27", when it takes a dump, i do plan on going slightly bigger, but only to a new flat screen 32", that will leave room for the DVD/CD player/ Radio & the cabinets on both sides.
