My last Camper Van was a 1985 Dodge raised roof. It was in great shape, with low miles etc. What i noticed happening more often was that certain parts would be failing & we couldn't locate replacements in a timely fashion. I remember waiting 3 weeks to locate the correct valve gasket pan. The ignition switch took 1 1/2 weeks to find. What we found was that the usual place to look for used parts (wrecking yards) were crushing everything older than 1995, so that eliminated that source. The aftermarket dealers stopped making parts for older vehicles also. Just something to keep in mind!
