LVB is long street, but quick look at map shows about 7 miles walk to MGM or NY resorts.
Circus Circus is 1/4 miles from the Strip in central location and if you are good hiker, you can walk from there to all best resorts on the Strip.
Then if University is your prime target, KOA/Sams with the lowest prices might be the best.
The KOA at Circus Circus is now closed.
I understand there is an RV Park at the Circus Circus. No longer a KOA though. They claim 170 spaces.
