Stayed at Bear Creek in September....yes there are hills (you are in the mountains!), but the sites are level and the folks who operate the campground are very friendly and make you feel very welcome there.
It is very close to the Biltmore House and access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Also close to downtown where there are some excellent restaurants.
When at Biltmore, I highly recommend the rooftop tour where you will learn quite a bit about the house and it's owners. Also take a drive over to the winery for a free tasting!
