I would be mad. You had a contract for a particular site and they rented it 2x. This is just like any other contract. If you rent a hotel and leave for the day they can't rent it again while you are gone. You have leased the space for the time of the contract. They made you whole which is good. But yes it begs the question of why didn't they rent an available spot. I mean that's reservations 101. That said it could have been avoided if you told them what you were doing. It probably looked as though you abandoned the spot .
