Like you, I would have been POed if it happened to me. But I spend my time complaining about the fuel prices and the government.
i cant blame a business for not having a credit card machine...wanna bet they have an ATM in their office (that charges some exorbitant fee)...for those that don't have a check book with them.
credit card machines cost money and the processors get a cut of every swipe, taking cash lends itself to tax evasion (and employee theft).
in keeping w/ your complaining about government - who could blame a business these days for trying to keep more of their cash ? not me !
