My family and I have boon dock camped in colorado sense 1962 many summers at a lake that is at 10600 ft. never had a problem with refg, stove or heater. We cook out side most of time on coleman gasoline stove. you have to compensate for altitude because of low boiling point of water and cooking oil. But I can smell those fried tators and fish cooking now. Opps now I am ready to go.....!!!!! can't wait......!!!!!!! I can smell up the whole camp ground with Bacon, eggs, and fried tators with pan cakes and biscuits. amazing how many walk by on the road when we start breakfast.
I do have to change generator to high altitude setting to charge battery for running heater at night. (Caution: don't forget to change generator setting back to lower elevation settings or you will burn the valves or burn a hole in the pistons)
Looking forward to my next trip there. not telling my favorite spot because I don't have enough eggs, tators, pan cake, biskets and bacon to go around.......!!!!!!!
When I get my wok started with some onions, garlic and peppers all of a sudden I get visitors. Bacon will even bring a vegetarian over, I know because one lives next door.
