Assateaque State park is considered Ocean City. Yes it maybe in the next town West Ocean City or whatever it's called?
But for someone traveling hundreds of miles to get there does it really matter if it's located in Ocean City,MD proper or not? The areas are less than 10 miles apart.
For tourism and promotional purposes they are generally considered the same place even if they are not actually in the same town!
