Camping World Dealer Prep

Winterizing my coach, started pulling batteries because they don't handle freeze well and WHAT? The CO detector had no battery.

Shame on me for not checking, but really! What was this exorbitant amount of money in Dealer prep for that I paid Camping World??

Mine came with all the batteries installed. I am pretty confident the PDI checklist would include functional smoke and CO2 detectors. I walked away from a deal once when they wanted to charge me PDI. Ridiculous they want to charge you to ensure that the coach is ready which it should be in the first place. PDI is a scam IMHO. They charge a lot and often do very little. Plenty of dealers out there that don't charge PDI. What other product do you know of that charges to make sure the product you just paid a lot of money for is actually finished and ready?
  • I understand your disappointment but there aren't many RV owners who are going to be surprised at this oversight. Many voice concerns about dealer prep not noticing the BIG THINGS and batteries in fire/co detectors would be on the "small stuff" list.

Are there any QC people left in the RV industry. :@

I don't think that any of my similar devices came with the batteries installed. they were just tossed into a drawer, and maybe installed by the dealer.
