Go to your local Wal-Mart. Go to the RV section and look for the "h" shaped extension. It's around $30.00 or so. BUY IT. take it home and put it on the receiver on the back of your M/H so that you will be able to raise your tow ball. You will see what I mean.. Hook up your tow dolly. Just put your car on the dolly and measure the clearance.

If you aren't happy with the results take the "h' back to Wal-Mart for a refund.

It worked for me on that trip. Remember sometimes you might have to pull into a place that has a steep incline off a level street. I've dragged the rollers under my bumper on the m/h a couple of times. So when your tow dolly enters that same incline you might drag the bumper of the toad. It happens. You just have to watch were you drive your M/H and avoid going into a parking lot that has a steep incline like that.

Speed bumps are not an issue if you creep across them.

Just so you know, I reversed mine. I raised the ball and that's how I wound up with 8 1/4". It's been that way for over a year now. no problems.
