Carrier Air V

I'm in Wisconsin right now and my Carrier Air V furnace has stopped blowing hot air. It starts up properly but just doesn't blow hot anymore. I have plenty of propane and all my stove burners work. Would anyone happen to know what the problem might be? Or what I need to check?

  • If your Carrier Air V starts but doesn’t blow hot air, it could be a faulty sail switch, limit switch, or igniter issue—have you checked whether the burner is actually igniting and if you can hear the flame kick on?

the carrier air V is a air conditioner with a heap pump function, there for no sail switch as in a normal furnace.

  • If the furnace starts but no warm air comes through, I’d check the sail switch, burner ignition, airflow ducts, and thermostat settings since airflow or flame sensing can stop heat. I found the Carrier 38CKC060 installation and start-up guide helpful — it explains system startup, safety checks, and airflow setup, which can help trace why heat isn’t circulating.
