Casino Queen RV Park East St Louis

Anybody ever stay at Casino Queen RV Park in East St Louis??
  • Just got back from a week there. We usually stay at 370 Lakeside in St. Peters or the KOA in Eureka as they are more convenient to family visits. Casino Queen was a very good campground and convenient to downtown. We went to a nephew's wedding held in Forest Park (someplace great to visit - zoo, art museum, science center ...)

These were a couple of views from our campsite.

  • That's the football stadium in the back with the baseball stadium to the left. Be sure to go to the geyser park just south of the park. Worth the trip...you can see the geyser from the campground but it's more impressive up close...Dennis
  • Be advised the sites are no longer 10.00. I haven't been there for a couple years, but if I remember right, the nice sights are now over 50.00 a night. Even at that, if you are going to St Louis it the only close place to stay. If you like baseball, they will take you to the Cardinal game on a bus and pick you up after, no charge. Sorry for the double post. Blame it on fat fingers.

  • The last time we were there a few years back we opted for the "deluxe" sites at the time they were about $10 more but twice the size of the sites to the south. Take note to leave nothing out at night, since the sprinkler system was automatic to turn on at about 5AM at that time.
  • Yes. It is a good place to stay, although it resembles a parking lot more than a wilderness. I stayed there last time through St. Louis, and expect to be there again later this fall. Do be aware that they close for the winter in October this year.
  • YES! LOVE IT! We stay every time we are in the area. You will want to stay out of the E. St. Louis area but you really aren't in there despite the address. Leave the park and there is a bridge right there to get you into downtown. If you want to walk in that's easy or you can catch the train but we almost always simply drive. Be sure to visit the Budweiser factory and take the tour. It is much more than you can imagine. The history and the buildings are amazing.
