CAT 3126B fan replacement

I have a 2001 3126B Cat diesel in my 2001 Beaver Coach. During some maintenance at a local CAT dealer the mechanic found a large chunk of a fan blade broken off. They have not been able to locate a used fan, but have found a few places that build them to specs. Does anyone know where to look for these fans?
  • When I was at the annual Quartzsite RV event 3 years ago, one of the vendors there was Brazels RV. They are based in Washington state I believe. In their booth, they had a replacement fan for the C-7 and others and I THINK they had one for the 3126. But, I'm not sure. It was/is a stream lined version that was supposed to cost less horse power to run and, cool better. It was not cheap though. I don't remember what the cost was but, it was not attractive enough for me to make a move on one. But, in any case, if you cannot find a bone stock fan for your 3126, you might try Brazels and see if they have an answer for you. Good luck.

  • I just bought one on Ebay from a guy in Florida and it was $91 plus shipping and it actually came out of Michigan and was plastic or fiberglass. Freightliner gave me the part number and told me that all the new ones are from that company and you can only get used metal ones. They actually weigh about the same, but was told my my tech that the new one may move more air. I tried to replace mine in a side radiatgor , but just really needed a third hand, so took it in and he said that it was a bear getting it in and out.
  • Just to let everyone know, I found a fan blade assembly at FanClutch.com. In stock and shipping today for $100.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I appreciate it very much!
