If you want to do a very good job and ensure no water gets to the formica (I'm guessing that's what you have) and swells it, then pull the sink , clean the area, and lay down some Butyl tape. Remount the sink and remove the excess Butyl as it squeezes out.

- yrusosloExplorerUse a latex base, so you can make a nice bead and it cleans up with water.
- super_camperExplorerI wouldn't use any caulk for this application. Depending on your type of mount the sink probably has a layer of silicone between the sink and counter, no additional caulk is required. Scrape off the build-up and clean well.
- TucsonJimExplorer IIWhat color do you want? There are lots of possible solutions from clear silicone to colored latex. Most any will work. Check with your local hardware store.
