i agree - or at least a lift kit and some off-road style tires. You could probably go most places with just some sand-friendly tires.
But I can't imagine climbing those ladders, getting up on that roof and trying to lower down a kayak - or put one up. How do you do it?
You would have to be young and athletic. I'm not sure there are enough young, athletic and rich people for a market. That market for young and athletic is a used market and there are no used Travatos yet for a few years. ;)
The height is what drove us to inflatable kayaks. I searched for quite a while for a solution for a B with our hard shell sea kayaks but gave up. Most Bs, especially Sprinters, also have to many obstacles on the roof such as AC, elevated awning, antenna, exhaust fan, skylights, etc.
