- bill4103ExplorerPossom Belly thats hillbilly for under body storage compartment. My Bounder is a 36S
- RLS7201Explorer IIMany of the older Bounders have a metal panel under the coach that will give access to the back of the water heater. You may have to look closely for the screws that are covered with under-coating.

What is a possum bell? - tommy_gExplorerIs your 1999 a 36s?
- bill4103Exploreri can get to them thru the possium bell but not very easily . But the refridgerater is above it.
- tommy_gExplorerIf yours is close to mine, the lines come through the wall into the "utility" compartment. Look up to the top left next to the bypass in this compartment. Once you start to remove the water heater, it will become obvious as to how the lines(in and out) hook up. They are like flexible hoses. Post and keep us informed.
- Kayteg1Explorer IIAll wh I know have water connections on the back. Cold is lower, hot is higher.
With RV it is not easy to disconnect that matters, but easy to access.
I can disconnect plastic pipes on my wh in about 40 seconds, but need 10 minutes to clear cabinets to get there. - Johno02ExplorerOur water heater was in a box under the floor. access to the water lines was through a panel in the back of the box. Lines came down through the floor beside the furnace. Only problem was that the frame of the chassis was less than one inch from the panel in the back of the box. No way to open it. ended up having to cut the water lines above the floor, then splice them back after installing the heater. About $100 extra labor charges.
