Is there any helpful hints on replacing the engine air filter on a 2004 Dutch Star on a Spartan chassis with the 370 hp Cummin engine? Thanks ,in advance, for any helpful hints or advise as I have never tryed this before.

On our 02 DSDP on a FTL I just raise the bed and change the air filter. I am getting older so it takes about 30 minutes, 15 if I am in a hurry. On mine, I have a hinged trap door in the floor of my rear closet that allows full access to the air cleaner/filter. Undo two bolts, prop open the door, undo two strap clamps and change out the filter.Method of accessibility will vary depending upon floor plan and chassis.

The only hint that I can add is to use a vacuum cleaner to suck up any Dust that will be all over the outside of that Air Cleaner. Pay special attention to the area around the hose clamps that attach the Filter to the Intake Tubes! It is important that no dirt gets inside the tube that leads to the intake manifold.There is no recommended service interval ,just change that sucker every second Oil Change or if the sight tube tells You to!

Don't forget the air brake system air filter also!
