- robsouthExplorer IIAnother State Farm devotee. I've had coverage since 1967 for auto, then home, then boat, then RV, then....... Few small claims. Never a rate increase because of claim. Shopped it several times and no one yet has matched the rate for the same coverage.
- ParkCountryExplorerI have been a State Farm customer for 35 years and they cover ALL of my stuff. I have an exceptional insurance agent who knows me backwards and forwards and is NEVER too busy when I walk in that door to get up and greet me and walk me into his office. We are nowadays inundated with insurance commercials for numerous companies that claim to save you a ton of money. However, there is something to be said for the PERSONAL service an agent provides as opposed to being a "number" from a high-volume insurer. It's going to take a whole lot to pry this customer from State Farm.
- BumpyroadExplorerI've had State Farm since 1964 with few claims but no issues.
bumpy - TinyandthegangExplorerI have had State Farm since 1962 and over the years have had small claims and 2 large snowmobile claims. My rates have never suddenly increased.
- haydoracinExplorerI have State farm for everything. Lost the awning on the MH 3 years ago. Submitted pictures to agent and had check within days. No rate increase after the fact.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIII saved $455/yr couple years ago by switching ins. company. Last year I saved $315/yr by switching ins. company. Next year should get a 'refund/rebate' when I switch again.........:B
Sorry......
Insurance is sooooooo individualized that it's hard to compare.
Who you are, where you live, credit report, age, drive record, miles driven, color of hair, etc.
Was with State Farm before hitting the road FT.
Reasonable pricing for the coverage. No claims so can't compare their response/handling.
Now that we are back into a home again.......checked all around looking at coverage. Same coverage..rates where all over the place.
Shop around....get as many quotes as possible (same coverage/limits)
Then check for 'complaints' against company. they all have them.....some are worst. - sd1209ExplorerHad State Farm for many yrs......I recently got a quote from another highly recommended company that specializes in MH's and they were 800 more per yr than I am paying for the MH below......A bit more coverage for that price but not 800 dollars worth.....
I get the multi-car discount and the thing that keeps me with SF is not the price but the ability to walk into the office of my agt and talk to her...... - BigSkyBobExplorerI've had State Farm for over 40 years and have had several claims handled to my satisfaction. I've bundled the coach, the house, my pickup and daughters car under SF. I've checked several times over the years for cheaper rates but over all SF has been my best bet.
- WyoTravelerExplorerHad State farm auto from 1954 to 1990. Never had a claim. Then had 1 glass breakage claim on the rear window of my MH. Attempted burgalry. All they did was break the window and passerby scared them. My rates doubled. Never renewed the auto insurance. Went with GS, National General and have been very happy. However, I do still have State farm home insurance and happy with their home policy. I would go with whoever is cheapest.
- justlouExplorerI have had State Farm for years and have been very satisfied with their rates and service. I keep hearing these claims that XX company can save you hundreds of dollars, so I ask for quotes and not one of them has been able to beat SF rates. Having the house, car, motor home, golf cart, boat, and personal liability all with them helps with the rates also. I tried the Independent agents also and they haven't been able to beat State Farm either.
