In that case if you are comfortable with the work and they wont require more than a down payment until the unit is finished and ready for your inspection the only thing left is to find out if the model you are looking at has any price difference between it and the model they are going to change it into. It sounds like the built in center and storage might raise the price of the unit and there is no sense in spending more to get less.
All that said, from my dealings with trying to get parts from the factory and having the wrong ones sent and then reordered, I would not want to pay for an RV and then wait. I waited 6 weeks just for replacement plastic wheel well protectors under warranty.
