changing overhead entertainment center to a cab over bed

When we bought our last class c, we wanted a unit with a cabover bed, but found a great unit with a front entertainment system. My husband is handy and we thought we could replace the entertainment system with a bed. BUT, just to be on the safe side, we called the factory and asked for their opinion. The factory told us to NOT do this; that cabovers were given different structural support than entertainment systems.

Now, perhaps the rv that you are looking at is made differently, but I would check with the company.
