Charging dead battery on Ford E350

I have 2015 Winnie Minnie 22 footer (Ford E350) . The battery is dead after sitting on the drive way for 6 months. I connected the charger to the chassis battery but it doesn't charge . I heard modern chargers don't charge completely dead battery and I do not have a spare battery. What is the best way to charge this dead battery ? thanks

  • Is the house battery dead too? Jump from that if the MH does not have the way to do that which some have built in.

will this cheap one charge ?
    Thanks for the update.

That's a battery maintainer, not a real charger. It would take a very long time. You hook that up for the 6 months you let 'er go dead.

You don't have access to a single battery anywhere.. like in another vehicle? Can't get a jump from someone? (to start the battery charging as said above)

Modern battery chargers will NOT charge and absolutely DEAD battery. Jump start it, hold fast idle for about 10 minutes, shutdown and immediately connect the charger.
Don't even have to start the engine.

Just jump, attach charger, start charging, remove the jump and let it rip.

For the OP: if you are plugged in or have solar you can add a Trik-L-Start combiner to keep the chassis battery charged. Letting any battery run that low will cause sulfation and permanent loss of capacity.

    Perfect/correct answer!

  • Not sure I'm following this correctly, but, you're connecting the new charger directly to a new battery and it doesn't charge?
