I was wanting to go to my local spot for some quiet time so I called to see what sites were available. I have preferred sites and some I don't like. I call and we get disconnected. I call again and again, each time the call is disconnected.
I figured what the heck. I hitched up and drove down there. Oh good, my favorite spot is empty.
While I'm in the office paying my due the phone rings. Within 2 seconds the girl behind the counter picks up the handset and puts it back down. The phone rings again and again with the same reaction.
I realized that was me on the other end of that call an hour ago.
I asked why she doesn't answer the phone and she said she has to take care of the customers standing before her first.
Gotta say I do the same. If I am showing a rig to someone on the lot and the phone rings I NEVER answer it. A single push of a button sends it to voicemail. If it's a text I'll sneak a quick glance as it may be pertinent to the situation and my boss knows that's how to pass on info when I am with a client. I hate it when the shoe is on the other foot and a salesman shifts me one position down when the phone rings.
