In the last couple of weeks, I've had problems with people that don't have a clue when checking in at RV parks The other day, part of the check included an extra $10 for key deposit for the laundry...

I'm fairly certain that they did what they did simply because it just never occurred to them that they were holding you up, so focused on what they were doing were they. If you said it right, I'm also fairly certain they would have learned something valuable, i.e. about customer service, at the same time they learned how to operate the computer for transactions of that sort. And they would have learned it painlessly.
My thought exactly...they were most likely so engrossed in the computer issue, it never even occurred to them they were holding you up. It could have been a new computer system as well. Doesn't make it right, but by saying something you might have helped the person coming behind you. Good rant...Dennis
