Plus, what would a RV maker gain from moving to a new chassis right now? When the Transits hit with their 25% better fuel economy and a choice of gas or diesel engines, there will be a lot more demand for that than a previous-generation chassis technology which the Chevies will be on. If RV makers make the jump to retool molds and such, they would want only to jump forward in generations, not just from blue oval to bowtie.
everything you say may be true. but according to a forest river rep-ford says the e-series is not going away quickly but won't say if they will be forever building rv chassis. the point is the rv c makers need a chassis that can do the big c's. the transit/sprinter can't handle the weight.thats why the move to offering more chevy 4500 chassis
