Chicago to Upper state New York and beyond questions....

First major length trip after retirement this September. Need suggestions on traveling from the Chicago land area to upper state New York and possibly Eastward than back home thru the civil war battle...

Watch out for the toll roads...

iPass does work all the way through there.
when I did it, there was a problem with the credit card I used for autoreplanish...
Everything looked great as I was going, and back...
But the bill ended up over $500!!!
