Very well said JohnnyT, the bottom line is what do you need? If money is no object and you plan on putting 200-300,000 miles on a rig then you might want the Diesel. Yes the repairs are higher, but the resale might be better then a gasser?
I know the trade in on diesel trucks are a lot better. Gas engines do not give back what you paid for the engine unless it might be a 4 banner.
