This thread is very helpful for a first time buyer.
The DP seem a lot more appealing, quieter, ride better, and can be driven much longer.
The newer gas MH seem noisier, and more affordable but with sufficient power up to around 35 ft in length even if you need to run high RPM's to get sufficient power.
But while the DP motor will last a long time the rest of the stuff in a MH seems to deteriorate quickly. Am I wrong in assuming I will want to get rid of either a gas or DP after 10 years due to other MH repair headaches? I guess I get the impression I have to determine if I will enjoy a DP enough to justify the added initial expense, but can not count on the DP lasting longer as the gas engine MH will last as long as the rest of the MH, but the Diesel engine will out last the rest of the MH. I am sure there are various opinions on this but this seems to be my impression from the various reading I have done.
As a new shopper I am just curious if other agree with my summary impression?
