RVinggreyhound,
IMHO - you made a sound and good choice. We have only had our DP for two months, but can tell you that my wife and I loved driving it and camping in it. It just floats down the road like a magic carpet. We just had ours out for a week between Christmas and New Years. The comfort and HUGE space to store EVERYTHING you might possibly want is great. And my huge heavy DP gets about the same mpg that my far smaller gas motor home got.
I bought used because my work is buying and selling used industrial machines. So I like bargaining for used stuff and like puttering fixing things and having things fixed. My last motor home was really old and needed lots of work, but I enjoyed doing it. My new motor home will likely need a lot less fixing.
