Class-A Boondocking mods - but not those kind

The better trailers come with everything most people need. I like solar around 200w. A backup gen is good. Maybe a better stereo and some reading lights. Thats it.

Yeah, these are all great points. It also explains why I don't see a lot of people doing off-road mods to a class-a. We do have 22.5inch wheels, and our RV is a toy hauler so we could bring quads or whatever with us. We currently tow my wife's Jeep Cherokee so we can get places in that.

Well, it looks like lights might be a good upgrade if we start down that path (so to speak).

^^^^ Agreed! Considering the size/weight of your current Class A rig, going very far off unimproved/graded roads WILL eventually be treacherous. If not so getting in, then getting out after some adverse weather might be an issue.

If you like off road travel/camping, going with some larger (22.5") wider wheels (if you don't already have them) will give you some more ground clearance. Consider bringing a trailer (double axle preferred) loaded with the ATV of your choice along with extra water/fuel storage tanks. Satellite phone?

IMO, with a Class A, you shouldn't even consider going anywhere a skid plate might be necessary. The rear overhang/swing is also an issue. Getting stuck in the boonies is EXPENSIVE!

Boon docking is possible in an A but off roading isn’t, mods or no mods IMO.

Regarding your solar, didn’t your energy survey (actual use or desired) nail down what you need?

You are not going to be able to get anywhere where those mods will do any good. You will get stuck,I know been stuck twice. The only mod on your list I see of any value is lighting, that always helps finding a spot at night.
