could anyone give me a ball park idea of what to expect in cost for brakes on a 35ft bounder, ford 2008 chassis. I know I need pads and rotors turned. got one estimate of $1700 plus. seems way too mu...

$1700 is just plain robbery..
Pads can be purchased for around $60-70 per axle.
Rotors are around $80 ea
And calipers Are roughly $70 each ..
If you were getting all the above parts new than they are still charging nearly $1000 for labor.
Check parts prices for yourself ,E-bay,,rock auto and a may other sites have all the items listed above.
Its just burns me when a shop tries to stiff someone just because they are in a coach. I understand they have big shiny buildings and employees to pay for but ,,to what end.
It took three of us(Me, Myself and I) less than four hours to replace all the pads on my coach sitting in my driveway at home.
