Dennis's point is that there is more to this than just the MH although his
average is actually 22 MPG. We usually put as many miles on our car as the MH and I recently bought a car that gets 44 plus the 7 for the MH divided by 2 = 25.5 average.
I can get 10 mpg with my heavy DP (44k lbs) but 45 MPH is too slow for most roads. A MPG without the speed you drive and to a lesser degree your weight is meaningless. My 7 is at 65-67. From the many posts over the years on MPG I'd say a 5.9 Cummins will average 10 mpg at 60 mph.
